She is the Founder and CEO of Holsman Consulting Group and Actions on Purpose, where she helps businesses develop effective talent management programs, implement impactful training and development initiatives, and excel in attracting, hiring, and retaining exceptional employees. With a specialization in optimizing recruitment processes, Laurie has a proven track record of identifying and hiring top-tier talent, even in challenging markets.

In addition to her talent management expertise, Laurie has extensive experience as a career and interview coach, having guided and supported over 1000 individuals in showcasing their unique value. She is recognized as a sought-after professional speaker and training facilitator, captivating audiences at prestigious conferences, workshops, and corporate events with her invaluable insights. Laurie is also actively involved in giving back to the community through volunteering with job seeker networks, non-profit organizations, and startup ventures.

As a seasoned Human Resources Consultant and Executive Recruiter, Laurie has worked with diverse clients across various industries and company sizes, including technology, banking, non-profit, private equity, startup, healthcare, financial services, retail, SAAS, and manufacturing. In addition to hiring top-tier talent and filling crucial roles for clients, she also specializes in building corporate hiring programs, managing recruiting and HR teams, implementing fair and equitable recruitment processes, conducting employee interview training, and providing DEI and bias training, management training, and employee engagement and total rewards.

Before founding Actions on Purpose, Laurie served as a Recruiting Director for a multi-state accounting consulting firm. She successfully developed and expanded the company's corporate and recruiting placement division. Laurie was responsible for building and managing the corporate and agency recruiting structure and teams, overseeing hiring procedures, budget allocation, and training. Her team played a crucial role in filling critical positions, including CFOs, Controllers, and Managing Directors. Laurie has extensive sales experience, having been an award winning sales person for Fortune 500 companies, including Nordstrom, Pfizer and Robert Half.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Laurie has also held public titles as Miss Alaska Teen USA and Miss Alaska USA, representing Alaska and the United States at national and international events. She served as the Assistant Director of the Miss Alaska USA Pageants, overseeing program operations, events, training, and fundraising.


Paul Actions on Purpose About

Paul Holsman is a dedicated operations professional with over twenty years of experience in management and business development. In 2021, Paul took on the role of VP of Operations at Actions on Purpose due to the company's continual growth. In his operational role, he oversees the company's back-office operations, including hardware, software, and cloud management. He focuses on strategic planning, process analytics, and implements improvements to drive operational efficiency.

Using 15 years of experience as a manager and trainer, Paul also supports Actions on Purpose as an Executive Recruiter/Sourcer, helping to identify and hire top-tier talent for clients. He specializes in hard-to-fill roles and has a focus on candidate experience.

Paul is skilled in developing and implementing procedures to optimize business operations and achieve company goals. He has successfully managed cross-functional teams in various departments throughout his career, ensuring continuity, clarity, and team development. He has extensive experience in managing departments, implementing technology solutions, and fostering employee growth and development. With a strong focus on efficiency and customer satisfaction, Paul has a proven track record of delivering operational success.

Prior to Actions on Purpose, Paul spent 20 years in the life safety and construction industry, with a background in electrical, design, fire alarm, and fire protection. He has also been a firefighter, earning the Fire Fighter of the Year award in his second year in the department. In his previous role, Paul served as the Operations Manager of a life safety company. One of his responsibilities was to develop and grow a new fire alarm/ fire sprinkler service and inspection department. He successfully increased the department’s revenue by 400% in four years and increased profitability. This was achieved by process improvements, department structuring, and technology (software and hardware) improvements.
